Description of the Company
Cosmotronics Industrial cc was formed in 1987 by Mr James John Everard. The Company's primary business in its early days was as an Electronic Wholesaler to Industry in the Greater Port Elizabeth area and Environs. Even in the Company's infancy the management knew that the future lay in diversification of business. Thus the company evolved and diversified strategically to become one of today's major Electrical & Electronic Wholesalers and Switchboard Manufacturer in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Area.
Cosmotronics was founded as a closed corporation with Mr J.J. Everard and Mrs C.A. Everard as the company's members. It is essentially a family run business with family values ingrained to its core operation. Mr Everard has, over the years of the company's existence, selected a team of 30 individuals who have brought extensive knowledge into the company. Their expertise vary from the fields of technical support, design and sales, manufacturing within the sheet metal and electrical workshops, computer aided design skills and so many more. All of these individuals with their diverse backgrounds and cultures make our company what it is today and are invaluable to its operation. Our workforce brings a combined technical knowledge of approximately 130 years! You can be assured that your technical requirements are in good hands at Cosmotronics.

Social Factors in Our Community
Cosmotronics realizes the incongruence of the past and has undertaken to work closely with various PDI organizations and firms for the up liftment of such individuals. Our recent associations with MMECA (Mandela Metro Electrical Contractors Association) are growing from strength to strength. We will endeavour to continue this practice so long as there is a need in our community. We have also demonstrated our commitment to development of our staff and customers by signing to the Employment Equity and Skills Development Acts. Both these Acts have benefited us greatly by our management implementing the thought of diversity awareness, HIV/Aids awareness and recognition of previous learning. We attempt to follow the recommendations laid down by MERSETA as to the training requirements for PDI's in the work place. We have extended this training program beyond the scope of our staff and on to associations such as MMECA. Our commitment also extends to working in partnership with Black Empowerment Enterprises and other prospective joint venture opportunities.
